System : Monitoring for reel to reel plating machines. Effective
data statistics
For statistical
process control purposes the main PC creates daily files containing
the following kinds of data: (1) alarms with arising
and removal dates/ times, localisation and
description. (2) machine states with date/time,
passwords in use, production status,
fabrication references, etc. (3) time of use of the
machine for the various main production modes. (4) spools
produced including all relevant library data in two different
kinds of files. (5) setpoints of the analog values under
two formats for an event driven and an overall vision.
(6) variations of the analog effective values and setpoints
for a visualization in graphic form.

The visualization and the statistical treatment of these data
take place via a program installed on a "server" PC
linked through an Ethernet network to the main PCs of the machines.
Certain data are saved in ASCII format so that they can be treated
by a spreadsheet like Excel. However for a complete exploitation
of the data the utility illustrated here is necessary. It is also
advised for its conviviality, the
CD-ROM backup facilities and mainly because its response
times are 50 times shorter than those of Excel.
