CPS-45
System : Monitoring for racks / barrels plating machines. Equipment
The CPS-45
is a supervisory system responding to high quality requirements
and providing a total production flexibility. It can also
work in cyclic mode. Its specific characteristics with
respect to concurrent carriers control systems are treated in
the sections movements Diagrams and
Simulation. Its predecessor, the CPS-35,
has been developped in the eighties in collaboration with the
companies STS and SHIPLEY.

The electric equipement and the hardware are in all aspects similar
to those of the plating reel to reel machines.
A special effort was made to obtain the best quality for
the carrier displacements and to assure the fiability of
the positionings. The smooth progression of the horizontal
movements allow high stabilization speeds without any balancing
of the racks. In order to optimize the entry of the racks in the
baths as well as their dropping different speed shapes for
the vertical displacements are available.
